About Us

We consider ourselves as in-house compliance. We allocate dedicated time spent at our clients’ offices doing work for them and them only.

As ‘in house compliance’ it is our job to ensure the compliance framework and overall compliance programme is fit for purpose and specific to client needs. We don’t take a ‘tick the box’ approach of one size fits all.

We understand firms need to be nimble and able to crossover roles and responsibilities. We recognise that compliance requirements impact all areas of a business and that it is essential to offer hands on help to ensure these are met.

We recognise the blurred lines of compliance and we don’t say ‘we can’t’ or ‘we don’t do that.’ We work with different areas of your business, including bridging the gap between you and your external 3rd party suppliers.

Gemma-Magee

Gemma Magee

Founder

Gemma has been working in the asset management industry since 2000 and has focused solely on compliance since 2007, with experience gained both in-house and as a consultant to asset managers and hedge funds.

Her roles have given her direct exposure to the FCA from initial authorisation to ongoing supervision.

Gemma is a qualified chartered accountant and has a BA in Business Law (Upper Second) from the University of Strathclyde. She is also a qualified yoga teacher.

Maria Moral

Senior Consultant

Maria is an experienced compliance professional with over 20 years of experience. She helps ensure clients have implemented a proper compliance framework and that their monitoring programmes are fit for purposes and monitoring is completed. She knows the benefit of bespoke versus generic and can advise clients of all sizes.

Maria has over 20 years of experience, starting off as an auditor at PWC and joined Comsura from Fundsmith where she was Head of Compliance Monitoring, Controls and Oversight. Prior to Fundsmith, she worked at State Street Global Advisors and was responsible for EMEA Control and Testing programme.

She has a BSc degree in Economics from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid.

Senior Consultant

Karen has over 20 years of international CEO experience, ranging from start up hedge funds, established asset managers and as a senior consultant.

Karen is experienced in strategy, stakeholder management, operations, finance, marketing, co-sec and risk.

Karen is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a BA (Hons) in Social Anthropology from UEA. She is also a passionate skier.

Lisa Hall

Senior Consultant

Lisa has over 20 years COO experience ranging from start up hedge funds, established asset managers and as a senior consultant.

Lisa is experienced in operations, product launches, change management, co-sec and risk. She is also experienced in selection and on-going monitoring of out-sourced service providers

Lisa holds a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from Bristol University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators and Institute of Corporate Treasurers.

She is a keen equestrian and an enthusiastic walker and skier.
